Recommend the Board of Education approve the following Consent Agenda as submitted by the Superintendent of Schools:

Tonight’s consent agenda includes the appointment of the following new personnel: 

  • Andrew Garigliano, Teacher.

 

Creation and Reinstatement

Board authorization for the creation of the following positions, due to student needs in buildings:

Instructional

  • (3) Three 7.0 hours/day Teaching Assistant positions, effective on October 9, 2020.
  • (2) Two 6.75 hours/day Teaching Assistant positions, effective on October 9, 2020.
  • (28) Twenty-eight 6.5 hours/day Teaching Assistant positions, effective on October 9, 2020.
  • (33) Thirty three 6.0 hours/day Teaching Assistant positions, effective on October 9, 2020.
  • (1) One 5.25 hours/day Teaching Assistant positions, effective on October 9, 2020.
  • (2) Two 5.0 hours/day Teaching Assistant positions, effective on October 9, 2020.

Appointments

Administrators (Amended Appointment)

  • Kristin Slover, who holds a Professional certificate in School Building Leader, appointed to the position of Principal in the tenure area of Administrative: Elementary Principal, amended for a three-year probationary period commencing July 15, 2020 and ending July 14, 2023. Salary $151,173 (pro-rated).
  • Amy Brockner, who holds a Permanent certificate in School District Administrator, appointed to the position of Assistant Superintendent for Instruction in the tenure area of Administrative, amended for a three-year probationary period commencing July 15, 2020 and ending July 14, 2023, at an annual salary as per contract (pro-rated) subject to the terms of the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction’s contract (as determined/approved by the Board), on file with the District Clerk.         .

 

Appointment

Instructional

  • Andrew Garigliano, who holds a Professional certificate in Physical Education, be appointed to the position of 1.0 FTE Permanent Substitute Teacher in the Physical Education and Recreation tenure area for the period of September 29, 2020 and ending June 30, 2021.  Salary Level MA, Step 4 of the salary schedule (pro-rated). Andrew is filling the position due to the LOA of J. Evans, noting this is an exception to a hiring freeze due to a student need.
