The last day to submit ads will be Friday, Oct. 15.

You should follow the instructions below and send your ad in to be completed by our yearbook staff.

If you would like to send a more elaborate message with family picture(s), please write up what you would like the ad to say and put your name and address on the back of the photos (so we can return them to you at the end of the school year).

There is no additional charge for words. Please write clearly and specify what size page you would like. We, at the yearbook, will format your ad. If you would like it set up in a particular way, please draw it on paper. Our yearbook staff will set it up on the computer. If we have any questions, we will call you at the phone number you send in with the ad.

Please do not tape your photos, cut them out, or send in paper copies. Do not tape pictures to your document! That makes it difficult to scan. 

Make sure you put your child’s first and last name on your ad!

 

Some questions that you may have regarding your son/daughter’s ad:

1. How many words can I write?

Use your judgment. Figure that an eighth page is like a business card, the more you write, the smaller the font we have to use. The same goes with pictures – one picture fits nice; too many photos cause them to be tiny. So… the answer is, there is no limit, but be careful not to be too wordy.

2. How many photos may I use?

Again, use your judgment. The more photos you use, the smaller we have to make them. Usually a good idea would be one photo for an 1/8 page, two photos for a quarter, three for half, and really, no more than 10 for a full page. There is no limit. Please use your judgment.

3. Should I cut my photos?

Absolutely do not cut photos. Our program will proportionally size your photos.

4. Can we make copies of our photos?

Sure, just make sure the quality is good. What we get is what we use. Photos on disk will be fine as long as they are saved as a .jpeg file.

5. Will I get my photos back?

Yes! Please put an address label on the back of each photo or write in your name and address – we will send back the photos in early June.

6. Please Note: song lyrics cannot be used because it violates copyright infringement laws.

 

The easiest way to submit your ad is via email. If you email, please put in the subject line: Elaborate ad and the student’s name. You can send it to pinebushyearbook@gmail.com.

If you choose to send it in, please send it to Mr. Risco, Pine Bush High School, PO Box 670 Route 302, Pine Bush, NY 12566 (you can mail them
or put them in his mailbox).
