Crispell students research influential Black Americans for Black History Month

Students in Meaghan Luccketti’s class at Crispell Middle School marked Black History Month in February by researching influential Black Americans who have made an impact on our country and then creating presentations.

A large red bulletin board in the background that says Celebrating Black History Month in white and blue. In front of the board are five students holding chromebooks with projects on them.

After deciding which figure they would be focusing on, the students completed their research and created either a display board or a paper on their subject. The projects were printed and on display for a “gallery walk,” where all of the students in the class had the opportunity to read them and leave positive feedback on the projects.

A young woman sits at a table that has a trifold on it with pictures and information. She is smiling.

It was a great opportunity for the students to go in depth and learn about so many significant contributors to our country’s history who came from the Black community.

Great job!
