Hooray for our Pine Bush Elementary School fifth-grade students! They are moving up to middle school and had a wonderful celebration with family, friends, teachers and staff.
These students have accomplished so much in the classroom and beyond. They’ve strengthened their social skills, learned an instrument, and covered a tremendous amount academically.
Interim Superintendent of Schools Donna Geidel reminded the students of how much they have grown and matured since entering PBE. She encouraged them to join clubs and take part in activities when they get to Crispell Middle School. And she reinforced a message they’ve heard throughout their time here at PBE– be kind to each other!
Students received many awards at the ceremony including for academics, art, music and band, chorus, library and physical education.
Lily O’Donnell, Avery Stapinsky, Landen Loechner, Regan Masella and Connor Amiel earned the Triple C Award recognizing the courage, character, and commitment of New York State’s outstanding students.
Courtney Flynn, Zoe Taenzer, Elayna Meier, Sean Farah and Rosemarie Martello received the New York State Comptroller’s Award, which is awarded to students who have shown academic excellence and the potential for leadership through involvement in activities that improve their school and/or their community.
Aymee Lozano received the Principal’s Award for perseverance and excellent character. Raymond Dickson received the Principal’s Award for excellent citizenship and character.
Samantha Jayona received was award the Assistant Principal’s Award for perseverance while Lorenzo Venditti received the Assistant Principal’s Award for citizenship.
Now it’s on to Crispell Middle School for most of these former elementary school students. Do your best! You’ve got this!
