Reminders will be sent when school meal balances are low

Starting Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, automated weekly SchoolMessenger phone calls and emails will be sent to families with negative and low balances on their student meal accounts.  The purpose of the calls and emails is to alert parents and guardians to the low balances and to keep their accounts funded.

The messages include the link to apply for reduced price meals, allow for an email response, and are translated, if necessary.

Questions should be directed to the school nutrition department, 845-744-2031, ext. 2809.

Please apply for no-cost meals:

  • Apply online at www.myschoolapps.com. It is quick and confidential.
  • Complete paper application – applications can be found here and in the school calendar. Send it in to your child’s school.

If approved, meals will be no cost through September 30, 2023.

If your application was denied, you may apply again if your income has decreased or household size increased.

When approved:

In addition to no cost meals your family may receive:

  • Fee waivers for college applications & admissions tests
  • Discounted internet access
  • Discounted before and after-care costs
  • P-EBT benefits

School meal applications help your school district apply for:
