Students Making a Difference Club donates to Bleu’s K9 Rescue

The Students Making A Difference Club at Crispell continues to make a difference! They sold green carnations for St. Patrick’s Day to students and staff and donated the proceeds to Bleu’s K9 Rescue, a local private dog rescue group. They raised $100 for Bleu and gave a shout out to Hearts and Flowers for helping make this possible.

A middle school student with long dark hair, wearing a dark shirt smiles as she pushes a cart that has a white container filled with green carnations.

The folks from Bleu K9 Rescue, Katie and Diana, stopped by Crispell and gave the students a very helpful lesson in the responsibility of caring for an animal. They showed students the signs of when a dog is approachable or anxious, the right way to approach a dog and how to respect a dog. The kids also got to pet Bleu and Klima, two stars of the day.

Bleu K9 Rescue is a totally volunteer organization that rescues dogs in the area and places them in foster homes until their forever home is found.

A great learning experience for the students and their advisor, Allison White.
