History is fascinating! Not only did kids back in the 1760s not have iPads and Google, houses were a bit different than the ones we have as well – think plumbing and electricity.

 

PBE’s third grade classes visited Huguenot Street in New Paltz recently, to visit and get an idea of what life was like back in the 1760s.  

 

 

The students toured a stone house to see how families lived, played colonial games, went inside a wigwam, and learned how to use a quill for writing. It was certainly eye-opening for all!

 

 

Lots of learning, lots of fun!
