The town’s sidewalk work being done on Maple Ave, between Pine Bush High School and Edmunds Lane, will not be complete before the start of school on Tuesday, Sept. 5. This area is regularly used as a walkway for Crispell students going to the high school for after-school activities. The district will provide a shuttle bus for the students heading to the high school until the sidewalk is usable.
Traffic on Route 302 in this area will continue to be subject to a single lane between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. while the crews work to complete the sidewalk project. However, at dismissal time, buses will be given a priority. This still may affect our bus dismissal from Crispell and Pine Bush High School slightly. Morning arrivals at EJ Russell Elementary School may also be affected.
When this sidewalk project is complete, another will begin across the street, starting at Stock Market Road and finishing at the town building, across from the high school. The one-lane traffic closure will continue until that project is completed.
