The Town of Crawford Fire Department made two trips to Pine Bush High School on Thursday, Sept. 7, and one to Crispell Middle School because of faulty fire alarms. The cause each time was a dirty smoke head.
The vendor is scheduled to be in the district Friday and will inspect and replace the equipment, if needed.
Firefighters responded to the first alarm at the high school in the morning, with students evacuating. After getting the all clear, students returned to their classes.
Firefighters returned after school hours in response to the second alarm.
Crispell Middle School was also evacuated in the morning, after a fire alarm went off in the building. There was no sign of fire; however, protocol calls for the building to be evacuated.
Students returned to the building without incident after the fire department deemed it safe.
