Students throughout EJR celebrated Start With Hello week by working together and helping others in different grade levels.
Kindergarten students and third-graders in Ellie Cassidy and Sarah Legato’s EJR classes spent time together recently. The kindergarten kids enjoyed having the older students in their classrooms. They welcomed them with, what else, the Welcome Song, where they all sang and danced together! Truly a fun way to start the interaction.
After that, the older kids sat with their kindergarten counterparts to help them with their lesson. They were learning about the letter F and drawing a fish!
The students also made cards for each other and exchanged them with their new friends. The cards had positive messages of encouragement and brought big smiles to their faces.
There was great interaction between the younger and older students, a true connection. The kindergarten students were thrilled to have new big friends and the third graders had such a sense of pride helping out their new little buddies.
