This morning, Wednesday, March 20, a parent from Circleville Middle School reported a potential threat to an individual student that was made on social media. Administrators investigated the threat immediately and determined it was credible. They notified law enforcement and are continuing their investigation.

The district will impose appropriate consequences as allowed in our district’s code of conduct, in accordance with New York State law, for the students involved.

We are grateful to the parent who alerted administrators to the potential threat, thereby averting any incident from happening. We ask that all parents and guardians do the same if they hear of anything out of the ordinary from their children or online. Please take this opportunity to remind your children of the importance of alerting an adult if they feel something is not right. The safety and security of our students and staff is always our priority.
