Popsicles with the principal is a fun introduction to school

Popsicles with the principal was a big success at EJR! Many families came out on Wednesday, Aug. 21, to informally meet Principal Elizabeth Halsey-Sproul and new Assistant Principal Joe Prestianni.

A man on the left and a woman in the center talk to a woman who is holding the hand of a small child.

For some, Ms. Halsey-Sproul is a familiar face. For others, they are new to EJR and they had the opportunity to say hello, have a popsicle – they picked their favorite color! – and play on the playground.

A woman with long blond hair, wearing a blue jacket, offers a green frozen popsicle to a little girl wearing a yellow shirt.

Everyone had the opportunity to meet Mr. Prestianni, who is new to EJR but not the district. He has been the AP at Circleville Elementary School for the past seven years and made the move to EJR over the summer.

A man with a blue and red checked shirt gives a fist bump to a little boy with dark hair, wearing orange shorts and a green shirt.

It was a great evening for the younger kids to get familiar with their principal, assistant principal and their playground, and for the families to get reacquainted and say hi to new friends and old ones.

First day of school is Tuesday, Sept. 3! See you all then!
