YESS students welcome everyone back with positivity

The Youth Empowerment and Sustainability Skills class, led by Kara Sprague at Pine Bush High School, spread some positivity this week by chalking the walk. The students used the sidewalk and steps in front of the high school main entrance as their canvas for positive messages to start the school year.

A large building with a red roof and a group of 29 students standing in front. There are positive messages written in chalk on the sidewalk in front of them.

The idea comes from Sandy Hook Promise’s Start with Hello campaign, encouraging students to be more socially inclusive and connected to each other. Great start to what will be a wonderful school year!
