Three Pine Bush staff members honored by Mid-Hudson School Study Council

Wednesday night was a time for celebration as three Pine Bush staff members were honored at the Mid-Hudson School Study Council Awards for Excellence recognition ceremony.

Jim Licardi , director of operations and maintenance, received an award for excellence in administration. Moises Colon, a social worker at Pine Bush High School, accepted his award for excellence in pupil personnel services. Danuta Kliti, a human resources assistant, was honored for excellence in support staff.

 

Jillian Masci, a junior at Pine Bush High School, sang a beautiful rendition of the national anthem to kick off the festivities.

Jim Licardi

“Jim is invaluable to our organization,” wrote Terrilyn Cohn, interim assistant superintendent for instruction in her nomination letter. “He ensures that staff and students come each day to safe and clean environments that we can all be proud of.”

 

“His knowledge and skills go way beyond running operations and maintenance,” she continued. “Jim is also very supportive of our students and our community. In his ‘spare time,’ he has been known to volunteer to coach the girls lacrosse team when we were short a coach. Everyone in this district knows they can call on Jim anytime and he will be there to lend a hand.”

 

Moises Colon

“During his tenure at Pine Bush High School, Moises has consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, empathy and a genuine commitment to the well-being and success of our students,” said Principal Aaron Hopmayer in his nomination letter. “Moises has played a pivotal role in supporting our school community in numerous ways.”

 

“On a daily basis he has been providing crucial emotional and social support to those students who are facing challenges. His ability to connect with students on a personal level and create a safe, trusting environment has been invaluable in fostering a positive school climate. He has been an integral part of our school’s support system.”

 

Danuta Kliti

“Danuta has demonstrated outstanding dedication, expertise and commitment to our educational community, making her a deserving candidate for this esteemed award,” wrote Joseph Lenz, assistant superintendent for business, in his letter nominating her. “Danuta’s tenure with our district has been marked by exceptional performance and a deep commitment to her role.”

“Her tireless efforts ensure that all HR operations are handled with the utmost care and efficiency, reflecting her dedication to supporting both our staff and students,” he continued. “Danuta’s positive attitude and unwavering support for her colleagues have fostered a collaborative and supportive work environment. Her loyalty and dedication have made a significant and lasting impact on our school district.”

 

 

The Pine Bush contingent at the event, which was held at The Barn at Villa Venezia in Middletown, was supportive and enthusiastic. Three tables of staff members from the district attended to support and honor our three award recipients for their distinguished service and exemplary dedication to our students and entire school community. Congratulations to all!
