Pine Bush Elementary Emergency Remote Plan

2024-2025

In the event that the district would otherwise close due to an emergency we may pivot to remote learning. Students will be expected to log onto their classes remotely and follow a two hour delay schedule utilizing Google Meet by accessing their Teacher Google Classroom Pages.

Our Emergency Remote Learning Model will emphasize rigorous, regular opportunities for real-time (synchronous) interactions between students and their teachers. Students will also be engaged in independent (asynchronous) learning activities as well. In addition, if a student does not have computer access at home, they will be provided with a “Snow Day Packet” that includes three days worth of hard copy learning tasks from their teachers.

Student Schedules

Parents can access schedules by logging on to their child’s SchoolTool account. The schedule follows a Day 1 through Day 5 system.

Attendance Google Meet/Morning Meeting

During this time, students will prepare for the day. Students will ensure that they are set up with their chromebooks, headphones, and cameras on. Students will log in to their schedule remotely by doing the following:

  1. Go to each Google Classroom Page at the times listed below
  2. Join the Google Meet for that class

Elementary Schools will follow a 2-hour delay schedule.

Remote School Day Hours: 10:55 – 3:20

  • Begins at 10:55
  • Attendance taken no later than 11:05
  • Students will be meeting periodically with their teacher according to the shared grade level schedules.
  • Some will be meeting with their Unified Arts teacher via Google Meet.
  • The Remote day ends by 3:20

The faculty and staff will begin their day at their usual time, using the 2-hour delay time to prepare for the delivery of remote instruction.
