Crispell Middle School is offering the following club and activities to students in the 2024-2025 school year:
Activity Club – Meets each Wednesday; gym/outside. Do you love to play sports? If so, Activity Club is the club for you! There will be different sports activities throughout the year, depending on the number of students signing up. Get permission slips from your PE teacher and return to Ms. Caccioppoli . Art Club – Meets each Wednesday; room 127. Art club is for anyone who wants to explore and refine their creativity and artistic practice. Students will have free choice and may work independently or collaboratively. You do not need to have skill or talent to join, just an interest and desire to experience more art. Tara Renart
Coding Club – Meets every Thursday; Tech. The coding club is a place to take your interest in technology and turn it into a productive skill. It is designed for students of any level who want to try out coding. The coding club is a fun way to learn to code in a social, after-school setting. Come learn how to code and work on your perseverance! Kevin Zawacki
Drama Club – Meets Tuesdays and Wednesdays until 5 p.m. When you want to perform or just enjoy watching performances, drama club could be for you! With acting, singing, dancing and behind-the-scenes roles, many talents get their time to shine through drama club. After auditions, daily rehearsals for the cast lead up to the spring musical. Backstage workers amp up their rehearsal commitment as the show approaches, with opportunities like props, department, sound and lights technicians, student directors, costume and make-up crew, and marketing design. If you want to join all the drama, it’s not too late for behind-the-scenes involvement. This year, CMS is excited to announce Alice in Wonderland Jr. as the production. Show dates are Feb. 7 and 8, 2025. All you have to do to participate is join the Drama Club Google Classroom – class code: jefjs4o. Interact Club – Meets on Wednesdays; Room 202. We are a school/community-based club that exists in over 140 countries and was started through Rotary in 1962. Our mission statement is “Service Above Self.” We aim to organize and support projects to serve the communities around us and the globe. Laura VanVoorhis
Media Club – Meets on Wednesdays; Room 217 or Room 231. We plan, create and edit video projects for Crispell’s video announcements which are shared with the school each Friday morning. Multi-Cultural/Diversity Club – Meets on Thursdays; Room 220. Our goal is to inform and educate about various cultures through events and exposure. Helen Fitzgibbons

Odyssey of the Mind – Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays until 5 p.m. in the STARS Academy lunchroom at Pine Bush High School. Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their ingenuity and creativity to solve problems ranging from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretations of literary classics. They then present their solutions at the regional, state and world finals competitions. Thousands of teams from throughout the US and about 25 other countries participate in the program. STEAM Club – Meets on Wednesdays; Tech. This is a tech-based club focusing on science, technology, engineering, art and math. Russell Hennig
Student Council – Meets on Tuesdays; Room 220. This club offers students the opportunity to brainstorm, organize and participate in various activities that boost school spirit and build positive relationships with our community (i.e., activity days, fundraising, dances, collections for our community, etc.). Students Making A Difference – Meets every other Wednesday; Room 231. This is a club for students who want leadership opportunities and are looking to make a difference in the community. The members decide the mission of the year, and they work to spread their mission. Activities include: canned food drives, fundraising, volunteering with the American Legion, etc. This club is looking for students who are eager to make a different! Melissa Prendys, Kathryn Green
Yearbook Club – Meets 2nd and 4th Wednesdays; Library. Our yearbook staff will work together to plan and design the overall theme of the yearbook. Staff members will take photographs during the school day and at school events. Individuals will create content, design pages, edit pages, tag photographs, proofread, and promote yearbook sales. We create opportunities for the school community to get involved in the yearbook with polls and contests. Yearbook staffers also make and display posters and create video messages for morning announcements. This is a collaborative process that helps build leadership, teamwork and creativity among students. Lisa Ruyack
