Kindergarten is a year of teaching basic skills that ensure a lifetime of success for your child. The following is a list of supplies your child will need for this school year. Please bring the supplies school on the day of your child’s Kindergarten Orientation. Unless otherwise specified, please do not label these items with your child’s name. One of kindergarten’s goals is to build a “community” of learners where everyone shares with and helps one another.
- 1 standard size backpack (labeled with child’s name). It must be large enough to hold a standard size folder – no wheels please
- 1 sturdy plastic 5”x7” crayon box with lid (labeled with child’s name)
- 1 box of #8 primary-sized fat crayons (8 per box) – not jumbo (Crayola suggested – Triangular grip preferred)
- 2 boxes of #24 crayons (24 per box) (Crayola suggested)
- 15 large Elmer’s glue sticks
- 1 black & white marble composition book (wide ruled and labeled with child’s name)
- 1 – 2 pocket full size erasers (not pencil cap erasers)
- 1 package yellow highlighters
- 2 boxes of tissues
- 1 art smock (oversized t-shirt is fine – labeled with child’s name)
- 1 – 5 oz. container of Play-Doh (any color)
- 2 packages of baby wipes
- 1 empty cereal box (labeled on the bottom with child’s name)
Please note that some supplies may need to be replenished during the school year.
