Circleville Elementary School had planned a building-wide No Place for Hate activity, where fourth and fifth grade students would read the books “All are Welcome” and “Say Something!” to their younger schoolmates. The COVID-19 pandemic hit and schools were closed.
But that didn’t stop CES from carrying out its activity, spreading the word of inclusion and standing up for each other. Now, all can read along with Assistant Principal Joseph Prestianni as he reads “All are Welcome” and “Say Something!”
Here is a bonus! Students responded to the powerful books by creating art inspired by the ideas in the books. Mr. Prestianni created a No Place for Hate video with their pictures for all to learn from and enjoy.
