After a three-month search, the Pine Bush Central School District has not found a replacement for Pine Bush High School Principal Aaron Hopmayer, who, it was announced in March, would become principal of STARS Academy in the high school for the 2024-2025 school year.
Instead, Mr. Hopmayer will remain at the helm at Pine Bush High School and the district will begin its search for a new high school assistant principal
This is welcome news to district administrators.
“We are thrilled that Mr. Hopmayer will remain in his position as principal at Pine Bush High School,” said Acting Superintendent Amy Brockner. “Aaron is respected throughout our community and a proven leader. With 23 years in this building, he brings a supportive presence to students and staff, as well as continuity and stability.”
“We have built something special here at Pine Bush High School,” said Mr. Hopmayer. “I am beyond happy to remain a part of it as principal. We have an amazing faculty and staff whose mission every day is to do the best for our students. That’s what we do here and that will continue. Thank you to our district administration for their support and for the opportunity to continue as principal of Pine Bush High School.”
