Araceli Villafane receives Positive Change Leading to Success Award from OC Youth Bureau

Pine Bush High School senior Araceli Villafane was honored as a recipient of the Orange County Youth Bureau’s Positive Change Leading to Success Award. The award represents a positive change that has impacted a youth’s overall performance. Araceli was recognized for overcoming a difficulty, succeeding in school and becoming a role model to others. Araceli has attained academic success both here at Pine Bush High School and in her Early Childhood Education program at CTEC.

Under a blue, white and silver balloon arch stand two women. The woman on the left has shoulder length brown hair and is wearing black pants and shirt. The young woman on the right is a high school student wearing a flowered dress and dark sweater. Both are smiling.

More than 560 students attended this 41st annual Orange County Executive’s Youth and Adult Awards, along with recommenders and families. Awards were presented to adults and students for their leadership and accomplishments. PBHS counselor Melissa Kaloz, who nominated Araceli for the award, attended the event and said “I am so proud of her.”
