Be part of the Say Something Campaign

On Thursday, March 25, Pine Bush High School will be taking part in the Say Something Campaign, also known as the Sandy Hook Promise.

A woman at left wearing green shirt and mask and a man at right in a police officer's uniform, hold a white banner with the words say something in the center.

To honor the 26 lives that were lost on December 14, 2012 at Sandy Hook Elementary School, students will be asked to sign the Say Something banner, taking the pledge to look for warning signs and threats from individuals who may want to hurt themselves or others. Some of these threats could include social media posts, or something you observe or hear.

Students who sign the banner have made the commitment going forward to look for warning signs and report threats that could be harmful. Students and staff will also be asked to wear green to spread awareness for the Say Something Campaign. School Resource Officer Boyd will also be handing out green masks that day for any student or staff member who would like to wear one.

Any student who is working virtually and would like to participate can do so by creating a sticky note with your full name and attach it to the jamboard.

The deadline to create the sticky note is Wednesday, March 23. The sticky notes will be printed, cut out and we will place your name on the Say Something banner.

A green graphic with the words take the pledge, look for warning signs, act immediately, say something on it.

By working together and reporting warning signs and threats, we can make a difference in our schools and community.
