Our district-wide art show was one for the books! Our students displayed incredible works, from painting to sculpture to pottery and more.
Set up in the high school, all elementary schools displayed their work in the cafeteria. So many of the students searched the walls for their artwork, smiles coming over their faces as they proudly pointed them out to their families and classmates.
Pine Bush High School National Art Honor Society members provided face painting, button making and other art-related activities for the kids. They were a hit, with many waiting on line to take part.
In the hallways were beautiful works by our middle school and high school students. Superintendent Brian Dunn walked through the show and was completely impressed, reporting to the board of education later that evening of the high quality of the artwork.
Thank you to Diane Trad, the art department chairperson, and all of our incredible art teachers for cultivating the love of art in our students.
The art show also raised money for art scholarships and the Pine Bush Food Pantry with basket raffles. Total raised was $512 for art scholarships and $1015 for the food pantry. Great job to all, serving our students as well as our community!
