There is help available for uninsured people in the Lower Hudson Valley whose mental health is impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Coordinated Behavioral Health Services (CBHS), a tightly knit group of behavioral health and community-based service providers, has launched the ConnexRx Texter.
The Texter is prompted by individuals via text or by scanning a barcode. It asks an individual a short series of questions that will assist with identifying challenges they may be experiencing due to the impact COVID-19 has had on their lives. CBHS care coordinators will contact the individuals and link them with services and supports within their network.
CBHS has been awarded funds from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Lower Hudson Valley residents. These funds are geared specifically to get behavioral health care to individuals impacted by the pandemic, but lacking insurance coverage.
