The Pine Bush Central School District has appointed Joseph Lenz its new assistant superintendent for business, beginning July 1.
Mr. Lenz currently holds that position in the Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery Central School District.
Michael Pacella, the district’s current assistant superintendent for business, is retiring in July.
Mr. Lenz graduated from the College of Saint Rose with a master’s degree in business administration and a certificate of advanced study in educational leadership. He has 10 years of experience serving as a school district business leader, beginning his career in the Capital Region and relocating to the Hudson Valley four years ago.
He lives in Orange County with his wife, Deana, who is the director of guidance for the Goshen Central School District. They enjoy spending time with their rescued Yorkie, Mr. Barkley, and traveling.
The board unanimously approved Mr. Lenz’s appointment at its April 21 meeting. He will be at the May 10 board of education meeting to meet with the board and the public. “I am so excited to be joining the team at Pine Bush and serving the students and community of the district.”
