Board approves capital improvement project to go to voters on March 4

The Pine Bush Central School District Board of Education has given its approval for a two-part capital improvement project to be brought to district voters on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

The proposed project will repair and replace vital infrastructure at all school buildings in the district. Click here for more information about the project.

At a special board meeting on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, the board voted to put the $79,295,000 project to voters for approval. 

Proposition 1, in the amount of $52,260,000, will have no impact on taxpayers. It will be funded through aid and district reserves.

Proposition 2 will cost $27,035,000. The tax levy increase for a homeowner with a home assessed at $500,000 and a basic STAR exemption is estimated to be $96 per year, or $8 per month.
