Board of education recognizes scholar-athletes for winter and spring seasons

The board of education recognized hundreds of scholar athletes from both the winter and spring seasons at their June 11 meeting. Individually, students must maintain a 90 or above grade point average to qualify as a scholar athlete.

Teams qualify as scholar athlete teams when at least 75 percent of their members maintain a 90 percent grade point average or better.

Athletes who won Section IX and OCIAA championships and those who qualified for state competition were also acknowledged. 

Congratulations to all who work so diligently to excel on the field, the court and the track as well as in the classroom.
