Consent Agenda – REVISED

 

Recommend the Board of Education approve the following Consent Agenda as submitted by the Superintendent of Schools:

Tonight’s consent agenda includes the appointment of the following new personnel:

  • Sara Iannuzzi – School Social Worker
  • Kerri Wieland – Teacher

 

Abolishment

Authorize the Abolishment of the following temporary position:

Administrative

(1)One Full-time 1.0 FTE Assistant Superintendent for Instruction, effective at the close of business July 24, 2020.  

 

Resignations

Non-Instructional

  • Margaret Cornish, resignation, for the purpose of retirement, from her position as a  6.5 hours/day Food Service Helper effective at the close of business July 16, 2020.  

 

Leave of Absence

Instructional

  • Shannon Peterson, request for an unpaid leave of absence from her position as a 4.0 hours/day  Teaching Assistant effective September 1, 2020 through December 4, 2020.

 

Appointments

Administrative

  • Kristin Slover, (amended appointment *) who holds a Professional certificate in School Building Leader* (SBL*), be appointed on probation to the position of Principal in the tenure area of Administrative: Elementary Principal at Circleville Elementary School, for a four-year probationary period commencing July 15, 2020 and ending July 14, 2024, salary for the 2020-2021 school year will be $151,173 (pro-rated). Be it further resolved that, to the extent applicable under Education Law Section 3012-d and the accompanying Commissioner’s Regulations, in order to be considered for tenure, Kristin must have received an APPR rating of effective or highly effective in three of the four probationary years and must not receive an ineffective in the fourth year.

Instructional

  • Sara Iannuzzi, who holds a Permanent certificate in School Social Worker, be appointed to the probationary position of a 1.0 FTE Social Worker in the tenure area of School Social Worker for a four year probationary period commencing September 1, 2020 and ending August 31, 2024. Salary level MA, Step 4 of the salary schedule. Be it further resolved that, to the extent applicable under Education Law Section 3012-d and the accompanying Commissioner’s Regulations, in order to be considered for tenure, Sara Iannuzzi must have received an APPR rating of effective or highly effective in three of the four probationary years and must not receive an ineffective in the fourth year. 
  • Kerri Wieland, who holds an Initial certificate in Students with Disabilities (Grade 1-6), be appointed to the probationary position of a 1.0 FTE Teacher-Special Education in the tenure area of Special Education (General) for a four year probationary period commencing September 1, 2020 and ending August 31, 2024.  Salary level MA, Step 1 of the salary schedule. Be it further resolved that, to the extent applicable under Education Law Section 3012-d and the accompanying Commissioner’s Regulations, in order to be considered for tenure, Kerri Wieland must have received an APPR rating of effective or highly effective in three of the four probationary years and must not receive an ineffective in the fourth year. 

 

Consultant Agreement

Board approval of following consultant agreements as part of the consent agenda:

  • Consultant Agreement for the 2020-2021 school year with Emily Brown, DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) effective from August 3, 2020 through June 30, 2021 at the annual maximum amount of $32,400 as per contract on file with the district clerk, and authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to sign all applicable documents.

Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and Staffing

Board approval  to appoint and amend* the additional temporary appointment as staff for the    Summer Food Service Program, (SFSP), “Summer Feeding Program” effective for the period of June 29, 2020 through August 13, 2020 (Monday – Thursday only) as follows:
