The Board of Education and NYSSBA will recognize the following CVMS Students (and their advisor) per the NYSSBA program Champions of Change. These students were involved with the district’s Media Club and a part of creating our 2019 “Start with Hello” Video, (They worked on the script, were in the video asking questions, answering questions or doing skits, helped during filming, were videographers, as well as video editors). Superintendent Tim Mains will provide a brief overview of the District-wide School Safety Plan presented to the Board of Education for approval. At the conclusion of the review, the floor will be open to the public for comments and questions.

The Board of Education will be asked to approve the minutes from the September 8, 2020 regular board meeting, as submitted by the District Clerk.

The Board of Education will be asked to approve the following Consent Agenda as submitted by the Superintendent of Schools and recognize tenure recipients: ON WEBSITE

 

2.            Approval of CSE & CPSE Placement Recommendations

Recommend the Board of Education acknowledge receipt and acceptance of the Committee on Special Education and Committee on Preschool Special Education placement recommendations as submitted by the CSE & CPSE Chairpersons, and reviewed by Trustee Robertson.

 

3.            Presentation:  Superintendent’s Update – Return to Learn

Superintendent Tim Mains will provide a Return to Learn update.

4.            Acknowledge and Acceptance of MOA with the Pine Bush Administrators’ Association

  • Recommend the Board of Education approve the following resolution:

 

        NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education (“Board”) of the Pine Bush Central School District (“District”) does hereby acknowledge and accept the Memorandum of Agreement (associated with health insurance in retirement) between the District and the Pine Bush Administrators’ Association (“PBAA” ) dated September 18, 2020,  as attached hereto; and

         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board acknowledges that the Superintendent is appropriate to Execute said agreement Between the District and the PBAA pursuant to the Memorandum of Agreement on file with the District Clerk.

5.            Acknowledge Receipt and Acceptance of Donation

Recommend the Board of Education acknowledge receipt and acceptance of a donation on behalf of Beck’s Hardware of Pine Bush, NY (in partnership with the True Value Foundation) consisting of PPE supplies that include masks, sanitizer, hand soap and spray bottles for distribution district-wide.

 

6.            Approval of Revised Board Policy Manual for Second Reading and Adoption

The Board of Education will be asked to approve the updated Board Policy Manual as submitted by Erie 1 BOCES in its entirety for the Second Reading and Adoption.
