The Pine Bush Central School District is working with Concerts in Motion to share their PEAK program with students in grades 3 through 7.
The program – Performance Education Access Knowledge – takes place each Tuesday in April at 4 p.m. via zoom. The schedule for the remaining sessions is:
- April 13 – Turning Obstacles into Opportunities
- April 20 – Music Therapy Workshop – Using Music to Heal
- April 27 – Defining and Finding Purpose through Art and Music
These sessions are interactive and last for one hour. Parents and students will interact with successful musicians and actors, many of whom perform on Broadway. Some highlights include Sean McDaniel, who has been the drummer in 13 Broadway shows, including Hamilton and Disney’s Frozen; Tereasa Payne, a musician who plays flute, saxophone and clarinet and has performed in many Broadway musicals and orchestras; and Ben Lipitz, a Broadway actor who most notably starred as Pumbaa in Disney’s The Lion King both on Broadway and in the national tour.
Catch all of the remaining sessions or choose one or two that you’re most interested in. It’s all free.
