The Life Skills Class from Crispell Middle School took an educational venture out to The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum in Cornwall.
The class had finished a science unit on the animal kingdoms, which covered mammals, amphibians, reptiles and birds, as well the food chain, invertebrates and vertebrates, omnivores, carnivores and herbivores. This trip reinforced all of the topics covered in class.
Students were able to engage in discussions using vocabulary about the topics. They were also able to view various animals such as rabbits, snakes, doves, toads, fish, owls and a talking crow.
The Nature Museum educators went through each animal and animal kingdom topics thoroughly and engaged students in both asking and answering questions. It was a truly day to remember for all.
