Crispell students meet with local vets to mark Memorial Day

Students Making A Difference Club and Interact Club of Crispell joined together to coordinate a visit with the local American Legion Post 1308.

A group of about 10 middle school students with 10 adults. All of the students and some adults ar eholding small America flags. There is a brick building in the background that says Crispell Middle School.

Veterans, including Commander Dan Dambrozio, visited the kids just in time for Memorial Day and gifted each student a flag and a bracelet.

Two middle school girls stand with a man who is wearing a veterans cap. The girls are holding flags.

The kids were able to thank the veterans for their service as well as have an informative discussion with the veterans about the project the veterans undertook earlier in the day – placing flags on veterans’ graves at New Prospect Cemetery.  We all thank you for your service to our country and the freedom you have .

A man stands on the right wearing a blue hat with a veterans insignia on it. A middle school boy stands on the left holding up a flag.
