Children’s Programs

 

Boys and Girls Running Camp

Grades 1-5

Come Join us this summer for the first ever Running Camp! This camp will go over the basics of running. Children are encouraged to run at their own pace. It will include team building activities, running games, lap and relay races.

Family Swim

If you want to help your children practice their swimming skills or your family needs some bonding time, a family swim is a great way to spend an afternoon. For children under age 2, potty training is required. No water diapers.

  • 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

  • Fee: $5 Adults/ $3 child, children under 2 free

 

Acceleration Academy (Sprint Camp) 

Grades 6-12

Samantha Becker & Janell Budd

Join us for a high-energy sprint camp where kids will learn the fundamentals of speed and agility from a former collegiate athlete. Through personalized coaching and tailored exercises, participants will enhance their sprinting technique and unlock their full potential on the track. Session 2 dates will be available soon. Equipment needed: sneakers, spikes preferred  and water.

Summer Band Lessons

Grades 5 – 12

Peter Gehres

Get in early for band or continue building skills on your instrument! Six small group lessons, scheduled once a week. Students should come prepared with their instrument and lesson book for the first lesson. (French horn, baritone, and tuba students will sign out a school instrument at the first lesson.) Lessons will be scheduled on Tuesday, with Wednesday serving as an overflow day.

  • 30 minute slots between 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

STEM and Robotics Summer Camp

Grades K-5

Give your child the gift of an extraordinary camp experience where kids create, collaborate and connect! Run by Robotics4U, this camp aims to inspire the next generation of engineers, thinkers and innovators.  We encourage campers to think outside the box and come up with solutions for the challenges given to them to boost critical thinking skills. This camp is the complete package full of fun, robotic games, science experiments, STEM DIY make-and-take projects, Lego challenges, coding and outdoor team building games. Each day campers will work on STEM projects that they can then take home with them and one day of the week campers will build a STEM project using motors and switches.

Pickleball for Juniors

Grades 6-12

This class is designed for students interested in learning to play one of the fastest growing sports.  Our class will introduce your child to the basics rules of the game and will lead into matches.  Pickleball lets kids be active in a smaller area, while having fun.

Equipment needed for the class: Pickleball paddle

Hurdle Hero ( Hurdle Camp) 

Grades 6-12

Step up your hurdle game at our dynamic hurdle camp, led by a former collegiate athlete dedicated to enhancing technique and effectiveness. From mastering the basics to refining advanced skills, participants will receive expert coaching tailored to their abilities. Get ready to soar over obstacles with confidence and precision, as you learn from the best and unleash your full potential on the track!  Session 2 dates will be available soon. Girls and Boys Youth Basketball

Learn and improve your basketball skills, including footwork, dribbling, finishing and overall basketball IQ. 

Sessions will include skills, drills, games and competition.

Volleyball Camp

Students will learn rules, skills, and drills, followed by games. Focus for this group will be on skills and team development for a more competitive play.

5-Hour Pre-Licensing Course

The NYS Department of Motor Vehicles mandates this course for all NYS permit holders. Students must pre-register and include a copy of their photo learner permit with registration. This certificate is required to schedule a road test appointment.

Springboard Diving

Ages 9 – 18

This course caters to new and experienced divers.  You must be comfortable in jumping and swimming into deep water.  Divers will learn the mechanics, approaches, entries and positions of diving.

Sourdough Bread Baking

Ages: 14+

Sarah Powell

Learn to make sourdough a simple way that fits your schedule.   Enjoy fresh, healthy bread for you and your family.   In this class you will learn the basics of sourdough, including starter care, and making a plain loaf.  You we learn how to incorporate inclusions.

Materials needed for class: Medium or large bowl, tea towel and scraper spatula.

Defensive Driving Course
