District gets recognition from NYSSBA for its No Place for Hate program

Pine Bush is a Champion of Change!

The New York State School Boards Association presented the Pine Bush Central School District with a banner for its No Place for Hate program. The district has been active with the Anti-Defamation League’s anti-hate program for several years. Each of Pine Bush’s seven schools participate in activities that promote acceptance of all.

A man wearing a dark suit, blue shirt and blue and gold striped tie accepts a banner that says Champions for Change on it from a man wearing a dark jacket and light colored shirt. Both are wearing dark masks.

NYSSBA initiated the Champions of Change program in order to give recognition to districts doing creative, worthwhile things for their students. Pine Bush’s No Place for Hate fit the bill!

Pictured here is John Redman, the Area 9 director for NYSSBA, presenting the banner to Superintendent Tim Mains at the Aug. 24, 2021 board meeting.
