Easter Bunny assistants were busy at PAK

Second grade students in Carol Weller’s class at PAK were quite busy the week before break. They read Easter Bunny Assistant and their activities were based on the book!

Three second-grade girls color eggs. They are all smiling. Girl on the left is wearing a pink shirt, glasses, her dark hair is pulled into a ponytail. She is smiling. The girl in the center is wearing a blue fuzzy jacket, red frame glasses and long brown hair. Her hand is on an egg in a bowl filled with food coloring. The girl on the right is wearing a pink shirt and bunny ears. She has a spoon in a bowl of food coloring with an egg.

The students wrote five jobs for the assistant, applied for them, designed and colored a unique Easter house for the bunny and wrote to him to explain why their house was the best choice for him.

A boy with short dark hair, wearing an orange shirt, pasts yellow paper on a white piece of paper.

They also made decorations to bring home for their families to enjoy.

A second=grade boy, wearing a plaid shirt and blue bow tie, dark jacket and jeans, holds half of a blue plastic egg as he writes on a worksheet.

On Friday before break, they had six stations, all with fun and educational activities. They sorted and counted jelly beans, colored eggs, read how to plant a garden and wrote step-by-step instructions, made baskets, became egg hunters and even tested and tasted candy.

A second-grade girl, whose dark hair is pulled up into two twists on the sides of her head, sits at a desk. She is making something with blue and purple paper. She is wearing a pink sweatshirt.

What a great week of activities in Ms. Weller’s classroom!

All are smiling.
