EJR and Crispell Odyssey teams make us proud

Our EJR and Crispell Odyssey of the Mind teams are back from the world finals in Ames, Iowa! They had a wonderful time and got to meet so many new friends. It’s an experience they will never forget!

Both teams did a great job, according to Lori Stapleton, the Odyssey coordinator for Pine Bush Central Schools. EJR placed fifth out of 38 teams while Crispell was 22nd of 37 teams.

A group of seven middle school students stand together with an adult woman on the right. They all have black tshirts on that say Odyssey of the Mind with different color designs above and below them. Several have on sparkly hats. In the background is a building.

Seven elementary students sit in two rows with three adults. They are all wearing sparkly hats that are various colors, as well as black t-shirts that say Odyssey of the Mind New York on them. They are smiling.

“I couldn’t be more proud of their effort and especially their behavior throughout the trip,” said Ms. Stapleton.

While in Iowa, the Crispell team got to meet Dr. Sam Miklus, the founding father of the Odyssey of the Mind program. That was quite a thrill for them.

The close of the Odyssey season leaves a little time to look back at all they accomplished but they are already looking forward to October and the next adventure!
