Fifth-grade PBE students take on STEM building challenge

Fifth-grade students in Katelyn Cleveland’s class at PBE were tasked with a STEM challenge using the Engineering Design Process.

Students needed to build a tower that was high and sturdy using 16 candy pumpkins per group and unlimited toothpicks.

Students truly used their creativity and planning skills in this challenge while having lots of fun at the same time. Groups shared their strategies and successes at the end of the challenge. It was a great collaborative effort for all.
