Freshman orientation welcomes the class of 2026 to PBHS

Welcome to the class of 2026!

More than 700 students, parents and guardians attended the Pine Bush High School freshman and new student orientation on Aug. 18.

The auditorium was filled as Principal Aaron Hopmayer and Assistant Principal Brian Miros gave an overview of how things work at the high school. Mr. Miros introduced school counselors who went over academic requirements and the electives offered to students. He detailed clubs and sports available at PBHS and encouraged all to find their passion and get involved in all Pine Bush High School has to offer.

After the gathering, students went into the cafeteria where they could speak with the counselors and representatives from many clubs, including the Wellness Club, Interact Club, Game Club and many more.

The students and parents then used a map to go on their self-guided tour of the building. As they checked in at the beginning of the evening, they received their schedules and now had the opportunity to make their way around the building.

Four years go by quickly! Enjoy every minute. School starts on Thursday, Sept. 1. See you all then!
