From the book to the plate – CES kindergarten students try some green eggs and ham

There’s been a lot of reading going on and Ms. Porter at CES decided to bring a favorite story to life!

A woman with long dark hair, glasses and wearing a light colored face mask sits at a table with 7 plates all containing ham yellow and green scrambled eggs. She is using a spoon to put green eggs on one of the plates.

So on Friday morning, March 12, she made a special breakfast for her kindergarten students – green eggs and ham! The students loved trying this unique breakfast, one they mostly only read about!

A young boy with short dark braids and wearing a black long-sleeve shirt tastes a piece of ham from the plate on his desk, which also contains green eggs.

A young boy with short brown hair and wearing a gray shirt holds a fork up to his mouth with green scrambled eggs on it. A plate in front of him has ham and yellow eggs. His mouth is open.
