Fun competition and team building are the order of the day at CVMS faculty meeting

Staff wellness was on the menu for Circleville Middle School’s September  faculty meeting. The staff met at Circleville Park ready to engage in activities designed to boost their mental capacities, performance, and social and emotional functioning.

Team building activities were designed and facilitated by their awesome PE teachers: Lisa Carillo, Anthony DiMarco and Rob Lawrence. Staff could choose to participate in the activities or cheer on the very competitive participants!

Special guest Cara Donahue from the American Heart Association discussed healthy habits for a healthy heart and how to de-stress.  Ms. Donahue also did a “walk and talk” around the lake where staff members could ask questions and learn specific strategies for keeping heart healthy while walking some laps.

In addition, grade 6 Andromeda Blue and Andromeda Gold teachers provided healthy snacks that were very much appreciated and enjoyed by all!

Dr. Phil once said, “You have to take care of yourself before you can take care of others.”

“At CVMS, we plan to literally ‘walk the walk’ and ‘talk the talk’ as we make staff wellness a priority,” said Principal Lisa Hankinson, “so we can better serve our students and our school community as a whole.”
