Here’s to the student-athletes moving on to play in college

Athletics are an important part of life for many students. The Pine Bush Class of 2020 has 25 student-athletes who will be bringing their athletic talents to the collegiate level.

In normal circumstances, the group would have gathered in the high school gym with their coaches and parents to mark the achievements of the athletes and celebrate their commitment to play their sport in college.

However, 2020 was anything but normal. Winter sports championships were cut short and spring sports didn’t even have a season because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Still, our students will be playing softball, baseball, football, lacrosse, soccer and volleyball, running track, diving and wrestling at junior colleges as well as colleges and universities at the division I, II and III levels.

Since we couldn’t get together to celebrate,  the Athletics Department has produced a video to acknowledging our student-athletes’ accomplishments and intention to continue their athletic careers in college. Click on the graphic below to view the video.
