Honeycrisp gets the thumbs up from our PBE pre-K students for favorite apple

It’s apple season! And following that, the math and science theme for pre-K in September was all about apples.

Two pre-K students choose pieces of apple from a plate of them on a table. There is a woman there pointing to the apples.

Students in Christina DeGrote’s pre-K class at PBE were able to taste-test different types of apples, from sweet to tart and everywhere in between. They were able to taste them and decide which they liked better.

Three pre-K girls sit at a table. Two are eating a piece of apple and the girl in the center is giving a thumbs up.

The clear winner was the ever-popular honeycrisp! Mmmm. Honeycrisp apples are crisp, juicy and considered the perfect balance between sweet and tart.

Four pre-K students taste pieces of apple. They are smiling and giving thumbs up.

Our pre-K students certainly agree!

Two pre-K kids, a boy and a girl, give thumbs up.

Three pre-K students eat pieces of apple. The boy on the left has his thumb up and holds a piece of apple in his other hand. The girl in center is holding up her piece of apple and smiling. The girl on the right is eating her piece of apple.
