Inspirational unified bowling team embodies teamwork and all that is good in athletics

Coach Michael Terwilliger’s unified bowling team completed its seven-match season this week with a final culminating match at Patel’s Kingston Lanes.

A group of nine high school kids stand together with a bowling lane in the back.

“The unified bowling program embodies all the best aspects of Pine Bush High School athletics,” said Coach Terwilliger. “Sure, we are competitive and desire to win each and every single time, but paramount in our minds is teamwork and FUN! Never lost during competitions, is the desire to enjoy the moment. This unified team is an inspiration to all who saw them and a model for the true essence of sport.”

The setting is a bowling alley. There is a person bending to bowl with others watching.

Coming up next is the unified basketball season!

Congratulations to all members of the unified bowling team and Coach Terwilliger for an excellent season!
