Kindergartners celebrate earth by building nests

Tara Tuttle’s kindergarten class is celebrating the earth! One of their projects – create a bird’s nest from materials they find outside. They each collected twigs and leaves, dirt, bark and other materials to make the sturdy home for their eggs.

The students learned that making a nest is hard work! And they determined that spring is a good time for birds to lay their eggs because they stay warmer.
