To start the year, students in Gina Lallathin and Shelby Jakaitis’ sixth grade social studies class at CVMS participated in a fun getting-to-know-you activity.
First, students answered questions about themselves, such as their favorite hobbies, birthdays, and personal strengths. Then, they used pipe cleaners to create a STEAM-inspired sculpture that represented their unique interests and personalities.
This activity helped build community in the classroom and students enjoyed sharing their creations with the class and learning more about each other.
