Maker Space at Crispell brings out the creativity in students

Students are tinkering in the Crispell Library! Our maker space has just added a new station.

Photo is taken from above. Middle schools students - about 8 of them, are sitting at tables working on their sculptures using parts of old electronics.

One week they have a “Breaker Space” in which students take apart a piece of donated electronics. They use tools and work together to disassemble the item and explore what is inside making this gadget work.

A little sculpture using old electronic parts. It looks like a robot with two arms and eyes.

A small sculpture made of different electronics parts. It looks like a tiny robot, with a blue top, three eyes, an orange light on top and holding what looks like a palate and a pen.

The following week, they create imaginative sculptures using the pieces from the item.
