Good evening Pine Bush parents and staff,
Today we loaned out nearly 300 more Chromebooks, and we anticipate being able to complete that distribution on Thursday. Tomorrow will be the last day that you can request one by sending an email to Chromebook@pinebushschools.org or phone your request in to our main switchboard, 744-2031.
Just a reminder that all of our food distribution will continue on a two-day-a-week schedule – Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at both PBHS and CVMS. As of today, we have served nearly 5,000 meals!
For the first time today, all of our volunteers had gloves AND masks, joining our food service workers with personal protective equipment thanks to several angels who have provided us with home-made masks. We thank them all! We are forever in their debt.
I also want to give a shout out to the Boys and Girls Club, who provided 200 backpacks filled with school supplies that we were able to distribute – 100 each – at our two drive-through locations.
We have received numerous requests from students, parents and staff to be allowed back into the school buildings to retrieve musical instruments or other supplies. Sadly, we just can’t accommodate any of those requests at this time. We discussed this among key district leaders and agreed that for the time being, we will keep all of our schools closed, except for food preparation and distribution.
Today started wet and dreary but has ended with some sunshine this afternoon. The temperature should pick up over the next few days with a promise of more spring-like weather. Let’s hope these are good signs of better days to come.
