Dear Pine Bush Parents,
Here’s some important information about meals and instructional activities:
The district will be providing meals to students (ages 18 and younger) at 3 different sites:
- PBHS,
- CVMS and the
- Family Church at 510 M&M Road, Middletown, NY
Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (M-F)
- This will be a drive-through style service. There will be no dine-in option.
- Students do not have to be PBCSD students.
- Families will be able to pick up 2 breakfasts and two lunches (total of 4 meals) per child.
- Families picking up meals should follow the regular traffic patterns at the schools. Police and security will be there for guidance.
- Please be aware that we are estimating the number of meals to prepare.
- The district will be providing instruction via two ways:
1. Learning activities and resources will be posted on the district website along with lists of educational websites that students are familiar with.
2. We will also be providing learning activities via Google classroom.
Parents and students should check the website regularly because teachers will be posting on a daily basis. Directions for parents and students are also posted on the website. We are also preparing packets for students that can be picked up at the food sites.
At this time, we believe the internet is widely available to our students, but we expect there could be some gaps. As we are able to identify students experiencing difficulty, we will explore ways to support them.
Until or unless we are told to do otherwise, we plan to keep one person staffing our main switchboard, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (M-F). We want to be able to field calls and provide whatever support and direction we can in this uncertain situation.
I apologize for not being able to get this out to you earlier. Future messages should come to you earlier in the evening.
Have a good night,
Tim O. Mains, Pine Bush Superintendent
