Good Evening Pine Bush Families!

Tonight’s message is only for families that want to borrow a Chromebook.  I’ll have an update for everybody tomorrow night, but this message is just for folks who are hoping to borrow a Chromebook.

Any family with a student registered in the Pine Bush Central School District may borrow a Chromebook, while the district is closed, in order to do learning activities at home. We are only loaning one Chromebook per family and you must have Wi-Fi available at your home in order for the Chromebook to work. The Chromebooks will not have a touch screen.

In order to schedule a pick-up of the one Chromebook per family, parents must either call or email us to start the request process.  The pick-ups will occur at our two distribution sites for meals and instructional materials – PBHS or CVMS.

You will need to provide us with:

• Name of parent
• Name of adult who will be picking up the Chromebook, if not the parent
• Name(s), grade(s) and school(s) for each Pine Bush student in your family
• Desired pick up location – either Circleville Middle School or Pine Bush High School.

Only the person who made the appointment or the person they designated will be given the Chromebook, and we will be asking to see ID.  Because it will be raining tomorrow, we will not begin our distribution until Friday, March 20.  But we will continue scheduling pick-ups through all of next week. The Chromebook will come with a set of instructions about how to connect with your home Wi-Fi.

All parents receiving Chromebooks must sign the 2019-2020 Responsible Use Agreement for the Chromebook Loaner Program. You can view a copy of the agreement on district website but will need to sign the agreement at the site of pick up. If the parent is not coming to pick up the Chromebook., then they will need to download and sign the form and send it with the adult they have designated for pick-up.
