‘My Jersey, Your Impact’ celebrates those who have made a difference in our athletes’ lives

The girls varsity basketball team took a moment to honor some special people who have made a difference in their lives.

A high school girl has her arm around a woman with long blonde hair, wearing a gray and blue check sweater. They are smiling.

The players each chose someone in their academic life that has made a difference and gave them their jersey. It’s known as “My Jersey, Your Impact” and it has become a tradition with the team. The players also wrote a message to their honoree and then invited them to the presentation.

A high school girl on the right has her arm around a woman with blond hair. They are both smiling. The woman on the left is holding a basketball jersey and a flower.

A young woman on the left wearing basketball shorts and a t shirt that says Hold the Rope, has her arm around a woman with long lighter hair. They are both smiling on a basketball court.

This is a special team for sure. They’re close and supportive of each other. As of Feb. 13, they have a record of 16-1. Awesome team, wonderful individuals, excellent coaches.

A group of nine high school basketball players all dressed in blue long-sleeve t-shirts that say Hold the Rope, pose with adults they chose as being instrumental in their lives. Most have flowers and are holding the girls' jerseys.
