Read all about it! More than 200 senior citizens from throughout the district enjoyed a turkey dinner along with the Pine Bush High School musical, “Newsies,” on March 20, compliments of district volunteers and various vendors.

It’s a Pine Bush tradition. Our seniors enjoyed a full turkey dinner with all of the trimmings, dessert and coffee, before heading off to the auditorium for the production of “Newsies.” The delicious food was supplied by the district’s food vendors, prepared by the district’s Food Services Department and served by student and district volunteers. Transportation to and from the high school and various senior centers was provided by Birnie Bus Company.

The seniors greatly enjoyed their dinner, sending compliments to the chefs and thanking their servers. There was even a tricky tray raffle of baskets filled with everything from books to skincare products to toys.
Superintendent of Schools Tim Mains welcomed all of the seniors, thanking them for their support of the district throughout the years and wishing them a good night of food and theater.

Reviews of “Newsies” were great! It was the first of this talented cast’s four performances of the show, which continued on Friday and Saturday.
